What’s in a Name?

The name of this blog comes from the title of a column I wrote for STQE magazine (Management) Process Improvement a couple of years ago. The article talks about some of the fundamental things we can do to become more effective managers:

— Learn about ourselves and how we respond in the world so we can better manage ourselves. If I can’t manage myself, I can’t manage anything or anyone else.

— Learn from other expereinced managers so we can avoid making the same old mistakes. There’s too much to learn to rely on only our own experience.

— Learn from reading about new thinking and ideas. There are some new things under the sun… just filter out the fads and look for ideas that can make a difference in your context.
