AYE Conference

Exploring Human Systems in Action

In 2000, a group of consultants met in Washington, D.C. to discuss their challenges, share ideas, and explore collaboration. And out of that discussion, the AYE Conference was born.

We wanted to create a different conference experience–one where the participants actually participated, and (gasp!) conferred with each other and the presenters.

We wanted a different presentation format: experiential and participative rather than passive. We wanted to engage people rather than lecture to them.

Jerry Weinberg, Johanna Rothman, Don Gray, Steve Smith and I are the hosts for the conference.

Together, we create a program where we (participants and presenters) explore ways to be more effective on the individual, team, and organizational level.

We don’t send the participants home with a big proceedings binder; we send them home with personal insights and practices to enable them to be more effective problem-solvers.
